TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in Q1 2026. Trading platform incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background tells you something. It says the leadership knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same facilities prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage leads with marketing and bonuses. TabTrade went the other way. Not the typical playbook.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, metals, commodities, stock CFDs, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that launched in March 2026, the breadth is solid.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders prefer it after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not relevant to typical accounts. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
How Fast Are the Fills
The execution is the area where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers quote a much wider range.
Should you care? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says something about priorities.
Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Here is the part that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not bother with Equinix connectivity. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. But factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
